So what next?

Last time I sat down to work on my blog, it was a hot day just like today and I was sitting right here in this same spot, and I was thinking “Yes! Finally I’m getting this blog together and I’m getting this dress business off the ground!”  But then my work-a-holic reverie was interrupted by a loud bang on my door and my neighbor screaming “THERE’S A FIRE! GET OUT!!”  Yep, there sure was and it was a big one! Luckily I got out OK along with my 2 kitties (one of whom had to jump out of our 3rd story apartment to the street below)…

Then three weeks after that, while crashing on the sofa at a friend’s apartment, I got another big surprise!  Or should I say little surprise? That is, I found out I was pregnant!  Such happy news at such an odd time.

So I’ve been slowed down a bunch the past few months but did manage to clean up the apartment, nurture my kitty back to health, take a pregnancy to full term, give birth to a healthy baby boy (at home!), OH and make a bunch of dresses and launch my Etsy store :) 

Now this week I finally also got to have photographs taken of some of these dresses in a wonderful shoot done by my sister Anneke (www.setstillsphotography.com).  The photos came out SO gorgeously if I may say so myself, and they leave me just wanting more! 

So I’m wondering… what will this summer hold? Hopefully not a fire and a pregnancy, but hopefully lots of gorgeous dresses and hm… maybe some 50’s inspired dresses? photographed on the boardwalk?  hmm…
